How My Hair Survived the Winter

Weather and other environmental changes can have a large impact on how your hair looks and feels. Today, I would like to share my go-to haircare regime.
1. PRE CONDITIONER

In my previous posts I have harped on about how awesome coconut oil is (and hopefully you're convinced!). I use coconut oil as a pre-conditioner twice a week. The fatty acids, lauric acid and other nutrients are so beneficial for hair and skincare.
If I am in a hurry and need to get my hair washed, I keep it on my scalp for at least half an hour. Usually, however, I leave it on overnight and wake up to incredibly luscious hair.

2. SHAMPOO

I use DermaOrganic Conditioning Shampoo and firmly believe it is one of the best shampoos out there. Not only is this shampoo completely sulphate free (which means its totally save for colored hair). It is made with certified argan oil and has organic vegetable proteins that protect and nourish your hair while cleansing it.
Moreover, it has rice keratin, antioxidants and omega 6 in it - SO many great ingredients. And its cheaper than most of the commercial shampoos.

3. CONDITIONER

After a long, long search, I found this absolutely terrific conditioner that works wonders for my hair. It is color safe with organic ingredients that is concentrated with loads of nutrients that will quench and moisturize hair from its roots. It does not leave your hair with that squeaky-clean feeling (which is good. Trust me you don't want that). I love its soothing, mild smell as well.

4. ARGAN OIL

After your hair is cleansed, experts suggest to use some penetrating oil to add back any natural oils that were striped away.
I have been using a few drops of argan oil on my scalp after I shampoo for years now, and find that it protects my hair from environmental changes. It also adds a protective layer on your delicate skin if you use heat treatments (such as blow drying).
Argan oil is extremely beneficial in other ways as well. It has vitamin E in it, which promotes healthy hair growth and strengthens follicles. Antioxidants also fight dandruff, dry skin and other hair problems. It even has the ability to undo brittle hair caused by chemical treatments.

5. LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER

Roscaro milk is a relatively new addition to my haircare regime, and I use it whenever my hair feels a bit dry because of air conditioning or the weather. This brand has become very well known recently and has built a reputable name for producing effective results.
It is perfect for damaged and brittle hair in particular due to the nourishing rose hip, organ and coconut oils present in its composition. The milky blend is light weight and does not leave a heavy, greasy shine. Instead, it is easily penetrating and hydrates hair effortlessly. It is free of harsh chemicals and has no sulfates, silicones, phthalates, paragons and DEA.
Moreover, it acts as a second layer against heat, so its perfect for those of you that straighten or curl your hair on the regular.
This product is not currently available in most stores such as Walmart or sites such as Amazon (must be fancy). So, here's a link to Briogeo's site where you can purchase it.
Thats it folks! I hope this answers some of the haircare issues you have DM'd me about, and also hope it is beneficial for those of you seeking tried and tested natural haircare products.
Heres a short video of me describing how I use this products in my routine. Enjoy!
Have you guys tried these products before? If so, what do you think of them?

Anya
