I’m sure by now you’re in the loop about coconut oil being a healthy addition to your diet. What doesn’t come to most people’s mind when they think of this amazing oil is that it has so so so many skincare and haircare benefits that have been used by centuries of women in Asia.


Prevention states that coconut oil is naturally antibacterial and anti fungal. Research suggests that it is non greasy and does not clog your skin. It also gets absorbed very quickly without leaving unwanted stickiness. The article goes on to mention that it retains moisture longer than most generic body oils sold in stores and reduces dry skin.



Another great feature - “it smells like cookies”.







Haircare benefits of coconut oil include its ability to add shine and luster to bodiless hair. An article by Everyday Health, amongst other articles, suggests that coconut oil is a great and inexpensive way to tame frizziness and even reduce dandruff.



There’s honestly just so much you can do with this one, single ingredient. Chapped lips? Dry skin? Limp hair? Dull skin? Coconut oil is the holy grail of natural beauty products.


So there you go. The perfect moisturizer for a half the price of store bought products without the chemicals.
